2023 Cassandra Cotton Diversity in Action Award
The Diversity in Action Award is an annual award established to recognize an individual, business, or organization that has demonstrated respect and value for differing backgrounds and points of view within the community and has fostered awareness of end-of-life care issues and access to hospice for the underserved. The recipient has made a difference in the community, demonstrating a commitment to the spirit of diversity and increasing awareness of end-of-life care by improving access; collaborating, and creating opportunities that bring together diverse groups; improving resources and outreach to diverse populations; and developing and providing cultural diversity education materials that help bridge cultural barrier gaps.
